My Values

Prior to graduate school, I worked in the performing arts. That experience continues to ground my counseling work in mindfulness, creativity, and curiosity. I have studied yoga and meditation for over 20 years, deepening my personal practice and my awareness of the mind-body connection.

I bring curiosity to our collaboration and work from a social justice and multicultural perspective. This means making space for the many aspects of your lived experience and considering how culture, identity, relationships, and context shape how you experience yourself and the world.

I have studied addiction formally and informally for decades. I am especially interested in how addiction impacts families and relationships, and I am committed to working toward greater understanding and de-stigmatization.

I am relational in my approach, which means that I see the relationship between us as an important part of the work. I am committed to creating a space where you feel safe, heard, respected, and valued. From a holistic perspective, we can take time to explore how therapy can best serve you and what you hope to discover through our work together.
